Atmospheric Lighting Effect - based on a concept by Imaginos

The QuakeLab - http://www.in2nett.com/stevefu/QuakeLab

        TEXTURES:

        NONE

        ENTITIES:

        light

        WHAT TO DO:

Make an assortment of light entities. They should be set to a fairly
low 'light' level, approximately 170. One third of these should be
set to have a 'style' of 11. Another third should have a 'style' of
        2. The final third should have a 'style' of 5. These are various
"glowing" styles; a table is available in The QuakeLab's lighting
        section.

Position them in an 'outdoor' area (ie: a SKY texture on ceiling)
about 128 units off the ground. Arrange them in a criss-crossing or
hatched configuration at the same altitude, keeping like-styled
lights from being adjacent to one another. This should aid in keeping
a consistent 'random' effect throughout the outdoor area in question.

        OPTIONS:

Adjust the 'light' levels or try other combinations of styles.
Should you find something quite impressive along the way, let
the QuakeLab know so that we can post it in the Lighting section for
        others to see.
