 The Story:

One day you woke up and you were stupid. Or maybe you went to
sleep a smart man but had a stupid dream? In any case here you
are in a dim dimension where no place is safe! A female voice
whispers into your brain and reveals herself as the EX-WIFE
demonic, whose aim it is to either destroy you or help herself,
depending on her evil desires. She is sometimes a traitor and
other times a demon. She is a morphadite that you cannot trust; yet
you HAVE no choice because NOW you are HERE.

This demoness has had problems with Quake forces herself and
therefore teleports you to her other-realm for her own vile
purpose: to exterminate.

 For yourself there ARE no choices. There is only an ultimatum;
to kill... or be killed.

 Gameplay:

As with any other Quake level the hopeful goal is to survive!
There are two skill levels, level 0 or 1 is HARD mode, skills
2 and 3 are EX-WIFE mode where life becomes a bitch.

NOTE* if you are divorced you should do fine (if you've never
met this demoness then you'll probably get waxed)

Here are two rudimentary truths you should know before playing
this level:

        1: either you will live
        2: or you will die.

You'll find out that in this dimension, life does not last long. Your
goal is to kill and to escape. Once all 45 monsters are dead you
have ten seconds to find the exit before the door closes on you,
trapping you with the evil demoness forever blah blah.

 Tips:

In short, no place is safe; if you try to hide you WILL be
found, so it is better if you keep moving. There are many ways
to play the game but it all boils down to one thing, either you
play it wrong and die or you play it right and live :)

Anti-camping measures are taken in the back halls where the
lightning gun and super-nailgun appear, and were designed after
the way monsters tend to follow the player around in a map. So
if you are hiding back there cuz you are afraid of all of the mean
monsters then you are in for a big nasty- they will find you!

 Twists in this level:

Generally, if you see a yellow and black striped square on the
floor where no teleporter can be seen, this is a place where
other enemies can step over and thus be transported to the
vicinity of the 'camping' entity that triggers it. Some squares
are portals and others are destination points.
In deathmatch mode you are just as likely to be zipped away to
that back hallway if you go running over the Super-nailgun in
the center of the level (or the Grenade-launcher) as with any
other portal locations leading to the back halls. This happens in
SP but moreso in DM. With these pads, all depends on whether
a monster, a person (like you) or a bot is back there to trigger
the teleporter. If nothing is there then these teleporters will not
be active and you may safely run across them.

 Enemies:

Skill levels 0 and 1:
There are 45 monsters, 43 of which see you at once when you
spawn in the level so be ready to run! There are four kinds of
monsters; the Fiend, the Enforcer, two vores and one Shambler.

Skill levels 2 and 3:
There are still 45 monsters but you spawn elsewhere in the level
where they can't see you. They are awakened by a trigger when
you spawn and life or death will depend on how much quicker
you get to the supply area than they do. The monsters now
include many more Shamblers, and Death knights replace many
Enforcers and Fiends.

 Secrets: 2

Look for changes in textures along the wall, and light
anomalies.

 Deathmatch:

Four DM player starts, one at each main portal.

 Textures:

Quake.wad, one custom texture, four imported textures.

The custom texture in the map is 'floorstep', which I drew
myself in the PAINT program. You will see this on the floor
where teleporter entrances and destinations exist.

The other new textures were taken from my 'adopted' daughter
Aprils' (Myspace) website that can be found at:

 Testing:

May we have a moment of silence for the many Zeus bots and
monsters who died believing in this level. They did not die in
vain, they will always be remembered (RIIGGHHHTTT).

 Tools:

TexMex for textures, Qoole for editing.
