	     RFD Mail Version 1.23(a)

   ****IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE READ****

This is an interim patch release which is intended
to fix problems with both Windows 95 and Netcom's
NetCruiser. To install this patch, simply replace
your current copy of RFDMAIL.EXE and RFDTELNT.DLL
files with the version found in this archive.

To fix the "disappearing Post Office and Address
Book" problem in Windows 95, do the following:

	- Shut down RFD.
	- Delete the _mail.dsk file.
	- Edit the rfdmail.ini file so that the
line "Windows95=1" appears in the [RFD Mail]
	  section.
	- Rerun RFD. The Post Office and Address
Book will now have resize borders around them.

To use RFD Mail with NetCruiser, follow the steps
for setting up an SMTP/POP configuration (hit
<F1> and search for SMTP/POP in the online help),
with the following two exceptions:

	- For the Phone Number specify
	  mail1.ix.netcom.com

	- For the Script File specify NETCRUZ.SCR

Note that in order to send/receive mail through
NetCruiser you will need to have NetCruiser running
and logged in before you attempt a fetch or deliver
in RFD Mail. You may also wish to select the
"Autoload Netcom's Winsock.DLL" box in the Startup
Options for NetCruiser.
