                  MailCall for Windows95 v1.2a
                         Release Notes
                            3/2/96

New Registration Option:

A. First Virtual - You can register using VISA/MasterCard thru First
Virtual Internet Payment System. You can apply for an account on
    their page: http://www.fv.com/newacct/

v1.2a Release (3/2/96):

A. Fixed a problem with some POP servers. Some servers running under
NT as well as others I am sure would not respond to MailCall.
MailCall was sending a linefeed to terminate a request, these
servers wanted a carrage-return. MailCall is now sending a
    carrage-return/linefeed combination.

NOTE: Version 1.3 is still in the works and should be out around
           the middle of March.

v1.2 Release (1/24/96):

A. Fixed a problem with the mail-check code. If the first server
in the list was down/unavailable/etc the program would not check
    any other servers.

B. Made the 'Registration' tab delete its own page if the program is
successfully registered. Before, you have to close the window and
    then re-open it.

v1.1 Release (1/20/96):

A. You can now right-click on the icon to reset its color
    back to grey.

B. If you have the MailCall window open on the desktop and select
another program you could 'lose' the MailCall window. Now if
you left-click the icon again, it will bring the MailCall window
    to the top.

C. The wav playing code is now enabled. This was left out of the v1.0
    release by mistake.

D. The internal mail-check routine is now multi-threaded. The v1.0
program would go to sleep during the mail-check. This version will
    still pop-up/exit/etc during mail-check.

E. Fixed a minor spelling problem.

v1.0 Release (1/12/96):

A. MailCall is an EMail client that can be configured to connect
with up to 3 EMail accounts. It will retreive the number of
messages waiting to be read. This program runs in the area
of the Windows95 taskbar called the 'tray notification area'.
This is the area that contains the clock.

B. MailCall is very easy to install and configure. Simply copy
the MAILCALL.EXE into the directory of your choice and run it.
When it first runs, it will pop up with a property sheet (this
is actually the main window). You can then run thru the
available tabs and enter your configuration information.

C. When MailCall detects new mail on any of the servers, it's
icon color will change to brite green. Also if you have
configured MailCall to pop-up or beep it will do that. If you
left-click the mouse on the icon it will pop-up and show you
the number of messages on each server. When you then click OK,
it will 'go away' and reset the icon color.

D. You may evaluate MailCall for 21 days. After that it will cease
to operate. Registration is only $5. Registration will give
you a program that will continue to work. It will also put you
on an EMail list to receive updates. $5 may not sound like much,
but to a shareware author it is quite a bit ;-)

E. Registration will also give you a 1/2 price upgrade to the future
mail client under devleopment. This will cost $25 to register,
so you will be able to register it for $10 when it is released.

F. To register, send $5 along with your Name and EMail.
