PROFILE 286 AND XENIX SYSTEM V/286 "FILE TOO BIG" ERROR

On Tandy XENIX System V/286 the default process file size limit
(ulimit) is set to 32767. This size is reported as 512 byte blocks.
If you create a Profile 286 (25-4212) database that exceeds this
amount, for example 6.5 meg, an upper range of records will not be
updatable even though the file loads and you can view those records.
An error message that the file is too big will occur if you try to
update those upper range records.

The solution is to raise the "ulimit" which is located in the file
/etc/default/login. In the above example, if the ulimit is raised
to 65534 the updating of the records is allowed.
