Please upload this unmodified FUTUR201.ZIP file to any BBS, even
if you don't use a TDD. There are a lot of people who want to
communicate with deaf people on the phone. Very few BBS have a
program to work with a TDD. So please do not modify this program.

FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED TO KNOW WHAT A TDD IS:

TDD is an abbreviation of Telephone Device for the Deaf.
Deaf people communicate with each other using the oldfashioned baudot
mode with 5 bits, at 45.45 baud. Hayes compatible modems are NOT
compatible with TDDs. This is due to different tones generated by the
TDD modem which uses frequencies at 1800 and 1400 hertz. So a special
modem for the deaf is needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Krown Research Smart Modem SM85H, or Ultratec InteleModem,
Hayes or PhoneTTY CM4 TDD Modem.
IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/2, or 100% compatibles.
Monochrome Display Adapter, Color Graphics Adapter (CGA),
Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA), MultiColor Graphics Array
(MCGA), or Video Graphics Array (VGA).
	 Serial Port (COM 14).
	 240K minimum RAM.
	 DOS version 2.0 or higher.

INSTALLATION:

Just type INSTALL and press ENTER. Follow the instructions on the
	screen.

EXECUTING AND SHORTCUTS:

Execute the program by typing TDD and press ENTER at your DOS prompt.
Your best friend for learning how to use the program is using ALT-Z in
any part of the program. To press ALT-Z key, just press and hold the
ALT key and press Z key. The ALT-Z is a help screen related to current
functions. In other words, not all help screens are the same for each
function. After playing with every command outlined in all help screens,
you should be able to master this TDD program. When modem selection
is set to "None", press NUMS Lock to simulate other user's typing.
This way you can try out the Futura-TDD software without a modem. With
a Hayes compatible modem, you can try a call to a relay service in ASCII.

The command lines for the TDD program are:
TDD -A to ANSWER incoming line now.
TDD -Ax to ANSWER incoming line now with function key #x [x=1..10].
TDD -D to go to DIRECTORY directly.
TDD -M to go MESSAGE CENTER and use setup's message selection.
TDD -Mx to go MESSAGE CENTER and use message #x [x= 1,2,3]
TDD -Z to go to the main menu directly.
TDD -MONOVGA to work with better colors on a Mono-VGA system.
TDD alone to enter to Futura-TDD.

WINDOW'S PIF FILES:

386/486 Computers with 2mb or more: Use TDD386.PIF file. The hot key for
the program is CTRL-ALT-F. Use it whereever you are in. The TDD will run
in background to take messages even if other program is running.

286/8086 Computers: Use TDD.PIF file. There is no hot key. Also will not
run in background due to CPU's limitations.

DIFFERENCES OF TRIAL AND FULL VERSION:

Distribute this trial version to anyone. This trial version will give you
an opportunity to try this program out to see if it will meet your needs.

Only 1 message taking feature is accepted.
Short cut parameters on command line not supported.
Remote on real calls not supported. (Remote on Notes supported).

	FULL VERSION:
	    Unlimited time on each call.
	    Unlimited message taking is supported.
