1. How to Use

F2F is a simple program to compare 2 files. If they are different, it
tells you the first different byte location from the head ('Forward' Comparison)
or from the end ('Reverse' Comparison). Please see the status bar after pressing
one of the comparison buttons, to know the result of comparison.

You can easily select files to compare, by the 'Browse' buttons or drag &
   drops from folders.

This program compares 2 files, byte by byte, and shows you whether they have
the same bytes or not. If you want to know the difference in detail, you need your
editor, viewer, or wordprocessor. That is, F2F just take a file as a set of
bytes, whether it is a text file, a wordprocessor's document, or a program file.
You can open the files by 'File 1' and 'File 2' buttons, by which the application
(viewer, editor, or any program) associated with the file extension in your PC
   will be invoked.

As an example, two simple files named file1.txt and file2.txt are already selected
when you excute for the first time. They have the same contents. Try to compare them
by F2F. Also try to compare after modifying one of them.

Refer to the tool-tip window or the status bar help string, shown when you move
the mouse pointer onto the control or menu you want to know.

2. Installation

Just extract f2f11.zip into a folder and use the program (f2f.exe).

3. Advertisement Plan

F2F is a freeware. Note that, on each execution, it opens a HTML document contained
in the same folder and you should wait for about 3 seconds. The document will
display some pieces of information from http://www.softbattery.net. In this way F2F
is expected to be supported by ad-information.

But, you don't have to make your PC connected to the internet. F2F works in any
   case.

4. Copyright and License Agreement

   F2F is Copyright(C) 2006 http://www.softbattery.net.

It can be freely copied and distributed, as far as it is not modified.
