     ************************************

RTCView1 is an MS-DOS program that runs in any IBM-PC
compatible computer with 640K of memory.

As compared to other PC hardware testers RTCView1 does not
make automated Y2K testing. You have to understand a little bit
the PC Real Time Clock problem to examine your PC. An intensive
help system helps you to understand the different issues that are
fundamental to assure a good transition of the century. Things
like BIOS RTC interrupt, direct access to RTC or use of power
management through power.exe should be taken into account. We
think that Y2K transition is not a child play, if you don't
understand it completely ask for some help.

The program allows you to test the RTC without changing the
DOS date. You can run the program in a windows environment
without affecting your other processes so that makes it
invaluable for testing of industrial computers used in plant
control.

This program has been developed as a companion to RTCView2
a Windows 3.1/9X program offered as Shareware. It can be used by
individuals wanting to know about the Year 2000 problem. For
large companies a registration with technical support and patch
programs is provided. It can be freely distributed as long it is
kept in its original state.

Program requirements:

The program can run in any MS-DOS machine with 256K of memory.

If you are using a monochrome monitor call the program with a
capital M as parameter, i.e. RTCView1 M.

If you are using a Black&White monitor (with Gray scale support)
call the program with a capital B as parameter, i.e. RTCView1 B.

RTCView1 works with any standard resident MOUSE driver.
If no mouse is available all functions can be accesed using the
TAB, Space, Enter and Alt combination Keys.

RTCView1 can also be used with an MS-DOS boot disk to test computers
with Windows NT, Linux, OS/2 or other non MS-DOS based operating
Systems. For Windows 3.1/9X it is recommended to use RTCView2 the
Windows version of RTCView1. Visit our WEB at www.elimar.com for
