      Serial Number.
    - after entering the User Name, Company Name, and Serial Number, select
"Install PC Certify Pro" files from the dialog box.
    - the files will be transfer to the hard drive at the default directory
      "C:\PCPRO"

    at the prompt.

NOTE: This program will not run under Windows.

COMMAND LINE FEATURES:

PC Certify Pro offers many flexible options to the user through the use
of command line switches. In order to view the command line switches,
type "PCPRO /?" at the prompt. This will display all the switches
available to the program as well as a short definition on the operation
of each switch. Listed below are a few examples on some commands that may
    be useful.

        - Logging all test results to a file:

            PCPRO /PR:TESTLOG.TXT

        - Executing the program in batch mode with test overlay 1 and logging
the test results to a file (test overlay is a definition file of the
          tests to be executed):

            PCPRO /PR:TESTLOG.TXT /BA:1

            Default Overlays:

            1. Run All Tests
            2. Run CPU / FPU Tests
            3. Run Memory Tests
            4. Run Video Memory Tests
            5. Run Serial and Parallel Tests
            6. Run CD-ROM and SCSI Tests
            7. Run Floppy Disk Tests
            8. Run Hard Disk Tests
            9. Empty (to be defined by user)
           10. Empty (to be defined by user)

        - Enable all hardware checking (do not skip around known hardware
bugs during testing). When this switch is enabled, all equipment
that has a known hardware bug will show "failed" after testing.
If a hardware bug is found when this switch is enabled, it does
not mean the equipment is defective. It simply means that
the tested piece of equipment may have not completely followed
          standards.

            PCPRO /ST

HARDWARE INCOMPATIBILITIES:

In some cases, testing the serial port with the mouse attached will cause
the Internal COM Port Test to fail. Thus, please remove the mouse from
the serial port prior to executing the Internal COM Port Test.

If the system halts on the math coprocessor during the IRQ / DMA
    detection, please check the following:

        - If the system has a internal or external FPU, check and see if
there is a jumper on the motherboard for the FPU. This jumper
should indicate that a FPU is installed. If a FPU is installed
and the jumper indicates that there is no FPU installed, this
may cause the system to halt during IRQ / DMA detection.

If the DMA test fails under System Board testing, check the report log
for the error description. If all DMA channels failed and the error
description for each channel was "Transfer did not terminate correctly",
this is due to a incompatibility. The DMA test is based on the Intel's
DMA chip specification. The error message is generated due to a
difference in the way DMA data emulation is performed between Intel's
DMA chip and other DMA chip manufactures. To check the performance of
the DMA chip when this situation occurs, run the floppy drive tests
or the sound card test. These two devices use the DMA chip extensively
    during their operation.

SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITIES:

PC Certify Pro will not run under Window 3.0, 3.1, or 3.11.
It is possible to run PC Certify Pro under Windows 95, but this
is not recommended. The results of some of the diagnostic and
detection areas may be invalid due to the nature of Windows 95.
PC Certify Pro was designed to operate in a DOS environment.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Under "Diagnostics" in the main menu bar, there is a selection called
"Others Devices". In "Others Devices", there is a CD-ROM test.
This test requires that a CD-ROM be inserted in the CD-ROM drive prior
to executing the test. Otherwise, the test will indicate a N/A (not
    available).
