What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.04 ÄÄ> Maintenance Release Version 2.04 of BOOT'R is a maintenance release. A problem has been fixed where literal tab characters (#9) were not being converted to spaces when a file was loaded or imported into the editor. A new Tab- To-Space Conversion setting has been added to instruct BOOT'R how many spaces should be used to replace a tab character when a tab character is encountered. What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.03 ÄÄ> Maintenance Release Version 2.03 of BOOT'R is a maintenance release that contains a major fix to the INSTALL.EXE program distributed with BOOT'R in version 2.02. A runtime error would occur when Ok was selected, making the Install program virtually unusable. This problem has been fixed. What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.02 ÄÄ> Maintenance Release Version 2.02 of BOOT'R is a maintenance release. Several issues were addressed, including the BOOTRED.EXE stripping out leading spaces from a .BTR file when reading it, and BOOTR.EXE stripping out leading spaces when writing a configuration file. What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.01 ÄÄ> Maintenance Release BOOTRED.EXE had a minor bug in the help system that did not always allow a user to switch to a topic when viewing the topic index. This problem has been fixed. What's New in BOOT'R Version 2.00 ÄÄ> Major Release! BOOTR.EXE has been completely rewritten in a new programming language to address problems that were inherent in the previous programming language used to write BOOT'R. Among problems addressed were the truncation of lines longer than 121 characters when writing a configuration file and incorrect writing of DOS environment variables such as %PATH% or %USER%. BOOTRED.EXE has also been completely rewritten in a new programming language. Both BOOTR.EXE and BOOTRED.EXE are now much faster and easier to use than before! ÄÄ> Changed Configuration Extensions From .INI to .BTR. To avoid potential conflicts with other pieces of software, the BOOT'R configuration files have had their extensions changed from .INI to .BTR. The new format is more visually appealing, and provides more information than before. Users can now see the program version and copyright information, the command line that was entered, the description of the configuration being initialized, and the filenames of the files being written.
