The Installation Procedure of NDC ND51XX PCMCIA on Windows 95 Release 1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Plug the adapter (ND51XX) into an empty PCMCIA slot/socket. 2. Connect the network cable to the adapter. 3. Start up Win95. 4. Win95 will prompt a window "New Hardware Found". Select the item "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacture." 5. Insert the "Instant-Link PCMCIA/ND51XX" diskette into the floppy drive (e.g. A:) ==> Input the path (e.g. A:\WIN95). 6. Follow the instructions on screen to complete the Installation Procedure. 7. Be sure to restart the Win95 to make the above changes to take effect. The Installation Procedure of NDC ND51XX PCMCIA on Windows 95 Release 2 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Plug the ND51XX adapter card into an empty PCMCIA socket and start Windows 95. 2. in "New Hardware Found" box, you should find "NDC-Ethernet" . Then an "Update Device Driver Wizard" box will appear. 3. Insert the "Instant-Link PCMCIA/ND51XX" diskette in the floppy drive and click the "Next" button. Windows 95 will serach the driver for you in all possible locations. Since the INF file was placed at \WIN95, Windows 95 could not find it the first time. 4. Click "Other Locations" button . Enter the path "A:\WIN95" in the "Location" column and click the OK button. 5. The Wizard will find the "NDC ND5100 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter". 6. Click "Finish" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. 7. Reboot your notebook.
