Insert the driver disk into drive A: or B:. 2. To install NDIS drivers under Windows for Workgroups 3.11 (WFW311), user should be in the WFW311 environment first and choose the Network Setup icon. 3. Click "Drivers" in the Network Setup window. 4. Choose the "Add Adapter..." item under Network Drivers. 5. When the new menu is displayed, choose the "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" item for the new driver. Then, click the OK button. 6. There is a box for entering the drive and directory. Please key in "A:\WFW311" or "B:\WFW311" plus . The "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" will show the names of adapters. Select the "CNet CN935 PCI Bus NDIS 2.0.1 Driver" or the "CNet CN935 PCI Bus NDIS 3.0 Driver". Then, click the OK button. 7. User can choose the "Setup..." button to change the SIA mode, Slot Number, or Data Rate when choose NDIS 2.0.1 driver and the Burst Length, Connection Type, Pci Mechanism, Receive Buffers, or Snooze Mode when pick NDIS 3.0 driver up. If user choose NDIS 2.0.1 driver, the Slot Number should be greater than or equal to 16. If a user has two network adapters on board and NDIS 2.0.1 driver has been selected, the slot number of the first adapter should be 16 and the second one is 17. Next, push the set button for saving driver configurations. The other option is Data Rate which user must choose the 10 Mbps for transmission. The connection type of NDIS 3.0 parameter has Auto Sense, 100Mbps, 100Mbps Full_Duplex, 10Mbps, or 10Mbps Full_Duplex selection. In this adapter, user should avoid to choose 100Mbps items. 8. Go back to the Network Drivers window and confirm the driver is correctly installed. To close the window, click the OK button. 9. Exit the Network Setup, after making sure the correct driver and protocols have been selected. 10. Next, there are two boxes which appear on screen in order. The WFW311 will automatically modify the CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT, PROTOCOL.INI, and SYSTEM.INI files 11. Reboot. Remark : if users install NDIS 2.0.1 driver for real mode and the DOS version is not 6.22 or above, please unload the EMM386.EXE in the CONFIG.SYS file.
