Insert this driver disk into drive A: or B:. 2. Run Windows for Workgroups 3.1. The "Main" window will appear. 3. Click the Control Panel icon. Then click on the "Network" icon. 4. A new window appears which includes an "Adapter" button. Click it. 5. In the "Network Adapter" window, choose the "Add" button to append a new network driver. 6. In case the window title is "Install New Network Adapter", please highlight "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" and click OK. 7. The next window will request the user to input the drive and path for installation. Key in the appropriate drive with path \WFW31. 8. WFW31 will display the name of the driver. Please select the "CNet CN935 PCI Bus Ethernet Adapter Driver" and click OK. 9. In the "Network Adapter" window, choose the "Setup" button. Then, click the "Advanced" button in the "CNet CN935 PCI Bus Ethernet Adapter Driver" window. 10. Highlight the SIA mode item and choose the value equal to AUTODETECT, TP, BNC, TP_FULL_DUPLEX, or TP_LINK_DISABLE. The value of Slot Number mode should be equal to or greater than 16. If there are two CN935 network adapters on board, please keep the value of SIA mode of the first adapter to 16. The second one changes to 17. After push the set button, click the Set button and close the window. The other option is Data Rate which user must select the 10 Mbps on transmission. 11. Close the Network Adapter window and click OK to make sure that Windows for Workgroups 3.1 reconfigures PROTOCOL.INI. 12. Reboot. Limitation : Before rebooting the computer, make sure the EMM386.EXE should be unloaded below the DOS version 6.22 . Otherwise, the starting network driver will cause trouble within the binding process.
