Start Windows NT. From the Main Window, double click on the Control Panel. In the Control Panel window, double-click on the Network icon. The "Network Settings" window will appear. 2. In Network Settings, double-click on "Add Adapter". 3. To add the CN100TX(B), choose the item " Requires Disk from Manufacturer". 4. Input the drive and path for this diskette's Win NT driver files, e.g. A:\WINNT\35 Click on "OK". The files will automatically be copied to the hard disk. 5. In the "Select OEM Option" window, click on OK. 6. A dialog box for cable selection will appear. The default value is "AutoSense". Click on "Configure..." to change the setting. a) If the CN100TX(B) will be attached to an Auto-Negotiation or Half-Duplex network device, "AutoSense" is the correct setting and the default does not need changing. The driver will then automatically set a correct line speed and opearting mode to communicate with the attached device. b) If users want to connect the CN100TX(B) to a Full-Duplex device, then they must choose "100BaseTx Full_Duplex" or "10BaseT Full_Duplex" depending on the speed of the attached device. Refer to the User's Manual or README.1ST file, section "Auto-Negotiation with the Attached Device" for more details on Full-Duplex connections. 7. Return to the Network Settings window and click on the Binding button. Then click OK. 8. Reboot. **NOTE: Please unload the SCSI driver from the device icon of the control panel before rebooting. Otherwise, it conflicts with the network driver. ###
