If users want to copy the LAN Manager driver to another disk, the subdirectory and file structure must be the same. ==================================================== = CN100TX(B) PCI-BUS FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER = = Driver Installation Procedure = = >>> LAN Manager Driver, DOS Version = ==================================================== The driver for LAN Manager for DOS is in the \MSLANMAN.DOS subdirectory of this diskette. 1. Insert this driver diskette into the PC's floppy drive (this example uses Drive: A:). 2. Change the diskette directory to A:\LANMAN.DOS 3. Run the LAN Manager Setup program. 4. In the "LAN Manager Setup" main window, choose "Actions". 5. In the subwindow, choose "Import Network Drivers". 6. Set source drive to the drive this diskette is in (e.g., Drive A:) 7. The message "CNet CN100TX(B) Fast Ethernet Adapter" appears in the "Import Network Drivers" window. Confirm the driver and click the OK button. The driver is copied from the floppy to the hard disk. 8. When the duplication is done, select "Actions" again from the "LAN Manager Setup" window. Choose the "View/Modify" item in its subwindow. 9. From View/Modify, choose "Network Drivers", there are three subwindows: "Network Configuration", "Network Adapter Cards", and "Protocols". Under Network Adapter Cards, highlight "CNet CN100TX(B) Fast Ethernet Adapter". From the Protocols box, add NetBeui or other relevant protocols. Click the OK button when done. 10. From the Setup/Action window, choose "Save". This saves the current configuration to the specified files. 11. Check the PROTOCOL.INI file for the correct line speed andopearting mode. (Refer to the User's Manual or the README.1ST file's "Auto-Negotiation with the Attached Device" section for more details.) 12. Reboot the PC. ###
