==================================================== = CN100TX(B) PCI-BUS FAST ETHERNET ADAPTER = = Driver Installation Procedure = = >>> LAN Server = ==================================================== The Lan Server driver files are in the \LANSERVE subdirectory of this diskette. 1. Insert the driver disk into drive A: or B:. 2. In the window titled "Command Prompt", click the OS/2 Full Screen icon. 3. Jump to the IBMCOM directory and execute the LAPS command. The LAN adapter protocol setup menu will appear. There are five items: Install, Configure, Remove, Exit, and Help. 4. Click the Install item. 5. Assign drive A: or B: with path \LANSERVE to install the driver onto the hard disk under the Install Aditional Network Drivers window. 6. After copy is complete, the message "LAPS Successfully Installed the Network Driver CNet CN100TX(B) Fast Ethernet Adapter" appears. Then, click OK and return to the main menu. 7. Next, choose the Config button to configure the environment of the driver. 8. Click on the Continue item in Configure Workstation. 9. In the Configure Workstation, the window consists of Network Adapter, Protocol, and Current Configuration. Choose the "CNet CN100TX(B) Fast Ethernet Adapter" item in Network Adapter along with the appropriate protocol types. Finally, the Current Configuration displays all of user's requirements. Check that all is correct, then click the OK button. 10. When choosing the line speed (or data rate), and operating mode (SIA_MODE), please click Help button for further information. (Please refer to "AUTONEGOTIATION with the attached device" section of the \README.1ST file for the line speed and operating mode.) 11. Return to the main menu, choose exit, and reboot. ###
