Introduction:

WinNote came about really as an accident, I needed a project to help me learn the finer points of Visual Basic 3.0. It is not much but it is usefull. It is a simple program that can leave a Postit Note on you computer (just like those floating around your desk right now :) You can save notes, copy and paste text and can be customized to your tastes. There is no trial period for WinNote but if you want to get rid of the startup nag screen, send a $5.00 or a postcard along with your address or email address for me to send the registeration number to:

Installing

Place the zipped file (winnote.zip) in its own directory such as c:\WinNote
keeping in mind your own drive of course.
Then using an unzip utility, such as pkunzip2.04 unzip the files and you shoud see:

winnote.zip ------- The zipped file
readme.txt  ------- This file
winnote.ini ------- An INI file
winnote.rpf ------- A Data file
winnote.exe ------- The actual program
sample.wnf ------- A sample saved winnote

Place the winnote.ini and winnote.rpf files in your c:\windows\system\ and You are ready to use WinNotes.

Final Notes

As this is the first incarnation of the program there are areas for inprovment such as online help and printing, both of which I hope to address in the near future.
