	2. General Information

1. Installation Information
The program consists of an executable file and two help file.
	These are date.exe, date.hlp and date.cnt respectively.

If the program comes as a zip file these files combined into
one zip file. The files contained in the zip file are
	as follows:
		 date.exe - the executable file
		 date.hlp - the help file
date, cnt - the help contents file
		 readme - this file

These can be extracted (unzipped) using the WinZip
utility. This utility is available on the Internet
	from a number of sites.

It is suggested that these files be installed in a new
folder (directory). In addition it is suggested that
any data files being saved with DateBook program
information also be saved in this directory.

To run the program use any of the following methods:

Create a shortcut to the executable date.exe.

Add the file to the Programs from the Start button.

From the Run... item (in Start button) type
in or browse for the date.exe file in the
		directory you have placed it.

2. General Information
The best source of information is the help file which
can be entered by clicking on Help in the menu and then
clicking Index item in the pull down menu.

In general the DateBook starting screen or window consists
of a monthly calendar starting at the present month. Clicking
on a date brings up a browser window in which you can enter
appoinment information. Also appoinments for the date selected
are listed in the browser window.

Once the DateBook program is started running it continues to
run using minimal system resources as long as you don't close
the main program window (the calendar), you can minimize it,
however, and the program still runs. The browser window can
also be closed and the program will still run.

Whenever an appoinment time comes up a message window pops up
	to remind you.
