                             Description

Clip'nSave captures windows, menus, icons, mouse pointers, full screens and
more in monochrome, 16-color, 256-color and 24-bit formats. Use the built-in
file browser or drag-and-drop from the File Manager to read and write TIFF,
BMP, DIB, RLE, PCX, GIF, EPS and JPEG images. Clip'nSave works directly with the
Windows NT Clipboard so you can immediately paste graphics into other
applications.
Versions also available for OS/2 1.x, 2.x and Windows 3.x.

                          Definition of Shareware

Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before buying it.
If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you are required to
register it (or purchase the licensed version as in the case of Clip'nSave).

Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and retail software, and the
copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific exceptions as stated
below. Shareware authors are accomplished programmers, just like retail
authors, and the programs are of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are
good programs and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy and distribute
the software, either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For example,
some authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may
copy their Shareware.

Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You should find
software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's retail or
Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs easier, because you
can try before you buy. And because the overhead is lower, prices are lower
also. Shareware has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
product, you don't pay for it.

                      Installing Clip'nSave

To install Clip'nSave for Windows NT/95:

    1. Make a directory for the Clip'nSave files.
        We suggest: \CLIPN21

    2. Copy the Clip'nSave files to that directory.

    3. Add CLIP.EXE to one of your Program Manager groups.
We suggest you set the Description to "Clip'nSave 2.1 for NT/95".

That's it!

CAUTION: Clip'nSave 2.1 ignores settings in older CLIP.INI files. Older versions
of Clip'nSave (particularly for Windows 3.x) will not read new CLIP.INI files properly
and may behave stangely. We suggest deleting CLIP.INI if you reinstall an older version
of Clip'nSave.

                              What's New

Major new features in Version 2.1 include:

The ability to capture menus, menu-bars, pop-up menus and cascading menus.
Support for JPEG (including progressive JPEG).
Much improved dithering of true-color images on 256 color displays.
Automatic saving of captures and incrementing of file names.
And much more.

                            Distributing

You are encouraged to pass a copy of the shareware version of Clip'nSave
along to your friends for evaluation.

If you do so, you must provide them with the entire set of Clip'nSave
shareware version files. These include:

CLIP.EXE
CLIP.HLP
CLIPLIB.DLL

of the vendor.doc file.
