P-51v2 Mustang Theme (High Color) 14 July 1997
	       produced by PropWash (not SmokeOil)
 		O.B. Brown OBB1@worldnet.att.net

The theme is based on North American's P-51 Mustang. All
sounds are aircraft related, with wav's of the mustang inflight
and on the ground. The ideas for icons and cursors came from the
the Mustang or WW II era.

**** You need Microsoft Plus for Windows 95 to use this theme.****

This is the fourth theme that I have assembled, but the
first one for free distribution. The theme was assembled from
parts that were made by me, or modified by me, or taken from any
place they could be found. Listed below are parts of this theme
that require recognition and should be recognized. If a part of
this theme is NOT listed below, one; I didn't make it, two; I
don't take credit for it and three; I probably don't know where
 it came from.

Isak Bergdahl reviewed My original P-51 Mustang theme and
highlighted the areas that needed improvement, He is the Author
 of DreamTheme, http://home1.swipnet.se/~w-13119, and I didn't
think some of the theme parts were as good as they could be so,
I reworked everything, added the Logo Screens and a large
set of Icons. Remember you get what you pay for, the files come
as is and I am not responsible for any loss or damaged data.

	Directions for Installing

 2) Change themes via the Control Panel/Desktop Themes.
 3) Read below about which icons you want to use, normal or large
size, and the "My Computer" icon as the "NAA" logo or the "RR"

screens, with instruction on how to change them.

John Altmann gave me two of his records 10 years ago,
"Check Flight" and "Reno On Record". Listed below are the wav
files and the record they were taken from. All of the wav's
taken from the records WERE COPYRIGHTED BY "AIRCRAFT RECORDS,
JOHN ALTMANN, 1984". I hope John has put the recordings on CD's
 and this helps their sales.

All wav's are 16bit sampled at 11025 Hz and saved as
Microsoft ADPCM formatted wav files. If you convert the wav's to
a lower sampling rate or to mono, you will save space but ruin
 the sound.

P-51 EmptyRecycleBin.wav Reno On Record, My guess is a
P-51 at or near top speed
				  rounding pylon #6.
	P-51 ExitWindows.wav Reno On Record, a P-51 landing.
P-51 Maximize.wav Check Flight, engine running up
				  for a post-flight mag check.
P-51 MenuPopup.wav Check Flight, Mag switch being
				  turned off.
P-51 MenuSelect.wav Check Flight, the seatbelt-
				  shoulder harness buckle being
				  released.
P-51 Minimize.wav Check Flight, engine shutdown.
P-51 ProgramError.wav Check Flight, mixture lever
			 	  being closed.
	P-51 Question.wav Reno On Record, taxi-by of a
				  R-4360 attached to the Hawker
				  Seafury, Dreadnought Yes, I know
this wav has nothing to do with
P-51's but I like the sound of
				  big radials.
	P-51 StartWindows.wav Check Flight, John's opening for
the record is perfect, I wish I
could have used all of it.

Wallpaper.jpg - Warbird Images - Dick Phillips. This was
the best picture I could find on the Web. I'm not putting down
Dick Phillips photo, in this case it is not what I had in mind
for this theme. What I was looking for was a photo of a WWII
P-51 in color and suitable for use as wallpaper, not a privately
owned aircraft with the new from the factory look. So the next
best option was to find a photo of a nondescript P-51 that
features the aircraft NOT SOMEONE'S POSSESSION. If I wanted to
use pictures of beautifully restored Mustangs I could have used
my own. I did not remove the credit line on the bottom of the
photo because it will be covered by the "Task Bar" after startup
 and Dick Phillips deserves credit.

If you have a P-51 photo of the type I was looking for or
can provide me with a "NAA" logo color scheme, please email me
and I will update this theme and send you the new files.

	Arrow.cur, AppStart.ani and Wait.ani - I made from scratch
and modified the other cursors to match. If you are an aircraft
enthusiast, you may recognize the arrow as the Wright Field logo
 used on test aircraft.

All the icons for this theme I made, and you have some
choices to make, large (48x48) or normal (32x32) size icons. All
of the large icon file names end with "48".

	Directions for Changing Icons
	-----------------------------
 1) By default the normal size icons will load with the theme.
 2) If you use or want to use the large icons open the "Control
     Panel".
 3) Double-click the "Display" icon, and click on the "Plus" tab.
 4) In the lower half of the window under "Visual Settings" check
the first box, "Use Large Icons".
 5) Next, in the "Desktop Icons" section, highlight the "My
Computer" icon by clicking on it and then click on the
     "Change Icon" button.
 6) Now click the "Browse" button and find where you put the P-51
     Theme.
 7) Select the "P-51 MyComputer48" file by left clicking once on
the file name, then click the "Open" button.
 8) You are now back at the "Plus' tab again, in the "Desktop
Icons" section click the "Ok" button, and last but not least,
at the bottom right of the window click the "Apply" button.
 9) Do the same steps for each icon you want to change and then
click the "Ok" button when you are finished.

MyComputer.ico. Which logo do you want to use? The
"North American Aviation" logo or the "Rolls Royce" logo. By
default I used the "NAA" logo because they built the Mustang. If
you don't like it try the "RR" logo. Use the above procedure to
change the icons. The "NAA" logo is black and white because all
I had to go by was a photo of a "NAA" data plate in the cockpit
of a P-51. I tryed to find a color version, but never did. I
even asked Rockwell, and all I got was "we sold it to Boeing ask
them". Now this is strange because their web sight includes the
"NAA" logo. So to Rockwell, I hope the company goes DOWN THE
DRAIN and Boeing buys you out.

NetworkNeighborhood.ico, the idea for the icon came from
the old "RKO Movie" logo, with a radio tower on top of the world.

	RecycleBinEmpty.ico and RecycleBinFull.ico were a last
minute idea. For those who don't know what they are, the recycle
bin full is the right wing of a P-51 with the drop tank hung from
the bomb rack, empty is just the wing.
