BackupLatest

BackupLatest backs up the most recently modified files on the floppy disk. After the
initialization, it scans the directory selected by the user during the setup process and
finds the files with the most recent time stamp. Subsequently it saves them on the
floppy up to its capacity mirroring the tree structure of the source directory. In case of
the computer's crash the most recently modified files from the user selected directory
are available on the floppy without the hassle of moving the hard drive to a working
machine or using tape backups.

BackupLatest runs in the background and can be scheduled in the System Agent to run
daily. A floppy with a label LATEST should be in the drive that was designated as a
Target Drive during the setup. It is of benefit to disable that drive from booting so the
floppy can be placed in the drive permanently. In case someone leaves the drive empty
or with a different floppy, BackupLatest will prompt for the floppy with a LATEST label.

The backup can be run minimized ('Run minimized' option in the Options window) and
can be run automatically when it starts, without the user having to press the Start button
('Run on startup' option in the Options window). Those features are useful when
BackupLatest is scheduled to run automatically through a scheduling program.

To install BackupLatest, please copy BackupLatest.exe to any directory on a hard drive.
During the first run user will be asked to select the source directory, the target drive
(those can be changed later on) and a file called backuplatest.ini will be saved in
Windows directory. To uninstall please remove this readme.txt file, backuplatest.ini and
backuplatest.exe from their directories.

Known limitations:
1) Hidden files are not recognized during the scan, so they are not saved
2) The maximum total size of all backed up files is 1,500,000 bytes
3) Files larger than 1,400,000 bytes are not considered for backup
4) Drive C: has to be the boot drive
5) Not tested under Windows NT
