This is the readme file for LATEX_2E.HLP.

LATEX_2E.HLP is a WinHelp-format documentation for LaTeX 2e, the scientific
and technical typesetting system. The file corresponds to the revision 1.4
of the LaTeX2e `texinfo' documentation. The documentation is brief, but
covers the most essential features of LaTeX version 2e.

This version of WinHelp documentation was compiled by Serge Winitzki
<swinitzk@emerald.tufts.edu> using "makertf", a texinfo to rtf convertor by
Christian Schenk.

Installation: copy the help file (and optionally this readme file) into a
suitable directory. 

Uninstallation: delete the help file and this readme file.


 The "(dir)" reference on the contents page refers to the file
"gnu_dir_.hlp", topic "Top". This is make for compatibility with GNU
texinfo files which all must have a "(dir)" reference. If you have several
texinfo files in winhelp format, it might be helpful to create a
"gnu_dir_.hlp" file which lists available reference files and points back
to them.
