This is a REDISTRIBUTION/CORRECTION TO THE FIRST DISTRIBUTION of the
   screen saver AGORAS.

**If you have already tried the previous AGORAS distribution ( files AGORAS1A
    and AGORAS1B):

Two weeks ago I was warned (thanks Scott Allen:sallen@imm.tdh.state.tx.us)
that there were problems concerning the DLL's that were distributed with the
previous distribution of AGORAS. After some tests, I found that those DLL's
were outdated, and as the AGORAS executable was tied to them, it was also
outdated. The reason for this may be that either the VB4 version I used was
a little old or it was a brazilian version.
Anyway, this is the correction to the problem - a brand new compilation with
the US VB4 version.
I'd like to point out that nothing has changed in the program source code,
so this is still version 1.0.
I would also like to apologize to the ones that have downloaded the program
and could not enjoy it, and I hope they will give it a second chance.
If you succeeded into installing the old version, you will have to erase one
file to enable the new version to replace the old one. Let's suppose that the
system directory is c:windows\system. In this case, you MUST ERASE THE FILE

       C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\AGORAS.SCR

or else the new version will not overwrite the old one!

** If you have never tried AGORAS, the previous lines do not concern you. So
start reading now:

This is a new distribution of the screen saver AGORAS. This is still version
1.0 as this is only a recompilation of the original source files with a newer
and better compiler.
This new distribution in embodied in the files AGORAS2A and AGORAS2B.
This is all you need to have an operational installation of AGORAS.
Just 'unzip' these two files into any temporary directory and follow the
instructions bellow:

This is the original (first distribution)README.TXT file:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
September, 1996

Welcome to AGORAS.

This is a ShareWare Screen Saver for Windows using a 256 color, 800x600
screen resolution and based on fractals.

AGORAS can be freely distributed as ShareWare.

AGORAS requires that you have a copy of the file VB40016.dll (Visual Basic 4
run-time library, common to all VB4/16 bit platform programs )in your
Windows/System directory . If you still do not have this file in your
computer, you can get a copy of this file elsewhere in the same site
 you downloaded AGORAS from.

To install AGORAS, just run its SETUP.exe program. When finished, go to the
Windows Control Panel and select AGORAS as the system screen saver.
This same screen, that enables you to select the system screen saver, can
 also activate AGORAS configuration screen.
You can operate Agoras with its default picture or select ( in AGORAS
configuration screen ) one of the five pictures stored in the directory
that you chose during the setup phase.
Further explanations are given in the "Information" buttom in the
configuration screen of this screen saver.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have uploaded some extra pictures (file AGORASIM.ZIP) some time after the
first distribution of AGORAS. These pictures can also be used with this new
distribution.
If people get interested, I intend to upload a new shareware version - for
Windows 95- that is capable to change pictures/songs every other activation
-> that makes things even more pleasant.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
TO UNINSTALL AGORAS:

1-Erase the files:

      file directory
    ---------- --------------
    AGORAS.SCR windows\system
    AGORAS.HLP windows\system
    MCGS.SSV windows
    AGORAS.INI windows

2-Erase the files in the directory into wich you chose to install AGORAS
(usually c:\agoras) and also that directory.

3- That's All - the other files are DLL's that come with VB4/16-bit and are
shared with other VB4/16-bit programs. So you had better keep them.
