***** RUNNING THE LCI PROGRAM **********************************

When the LCI program is run a screen appears with combo boxes
with codes/abbreviations for naming files. Also shown is a box
containing the code used for the file naming scheme the user
wishes to use. This information is kept in the DEFAULT.LCI Text
file(See Below for File Format). The user can change the code by
using the combo boxes arrows to scroll through listed selection or
by simply typing the desired code in the proper combo box. Select
Name File command to show the filename made from the combo boxes
according to the code. This filename is in a text box and it can
be edited to make any changes the user desires. To Clipboard
command then copies the filename to the clipboard and the filename
can be pasted into another application Save As option using Ctrl-V

The Naming Code specifies how many codes and the length of each
code to select from a combo box. An underscore(_) separates the
numbers. The number of filename characters must be less than or
equal to eight(8) and there must be three(3) or less characters in
the extension - the maximum allowed by DOS for a filename.

In addition to the numbers, four(4) special date codes can also
be used in a file name:
   d5f - Five(5) character date code i.e. 04235 (April 23, 1995)
   d5r - Five(5) character date code i.e. 50423 (April 23, 1995)
   d3f - Three(3) character date code i.e. 4n5 (April 23, 1995)
   d3r - Three(3) character date code i.e. 54n (April 23, 1995)

The DEFAULT.LCI file provided with the LCI1.EXE program give
the user a file model. A copy of this file DEFAULT.BKP is
provided so the user can modify the DEFAULT.LCI for their own
scheme of file naming and still have this basic reference.

The DEFAULT.LCI file included has the

     Naming Code 1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1.1_1_1

This tells the program to construct a name using the first letter
of codes for each of the DOS filename and extension characters.
The user is advised to run the program using this initial file
and work with it to get an understanding of the program. The user
should then try the psuedo-tutorial described later in this file
to further familiarize themselves with the Let's Call It program.
