Synopsis:

Hex File Viewer is a utility program that allows the user to view any file byte by byte as a hex dump. This program was written in response to the inability of several already available programs to work properly in the Windows 95 environment. Hex File Viewer can display files of any size while maintaining a small memory usage and fast movement throughout the file. Hex File Viewer is written entirely in Visual Basic 3.0, hence, the VBRUN300.DLL must be present in the users system path. VBRUN300.DLL is widely available at many FTP, WWW, and BBS sites and is not provided with this program.

Included Files:

	readme.txt	This file.
hexview.ex_	The main executable file, compressed.
	hexview.hl_	The help file, compressed.
	setup.exe	The setup program.
setup.lst	List of files for use by the setup program.
setupkit.dl_	Dynamic link library for use by the setup program.
threed.vb_	VBX for the three dimensional controls.
ver.dl_ Dynamic link library for use by the setup program.

Installation:

Ensure that vbrun300.dll (not provided with this program) is installed in your path.
Copy the above files to a floppy disk. You may copy them to the directory of your choice, but then you will have to delete unnecessary setup files by hand. Execute the setup.exe program. Installation will be automatic. After installation, the necessary files to keep are hexview.exe, hexview.hlp, and threed.vbx. The other files may be deleted at your discretion.
Ensure that hexview.exe and hexview.hlp are in the same directory or that hexview.hlp is in the system path if you want the help file to function.
