SFiles version 1.0b0 is a file search and browse shareware utility,
from Swanware Technology. This is the first beta version and will
be available to anyone interested in testing it.

SFiles is a tool for programmers and others needing to sift through large
or small lists of files including subdirectories. Searches for more than
one wildcard filename can be done alone or in conjunction with a search for
a character string. The list of files is collected into a scrollable list.

Once the list of files has been collected, the lines matching the string
can be expanded out below any file. Then, if more detail is needed, the
view of individual hits can be widened to see lines before and after lines
matching the string in each file. Or an editor can be launched on the
file if needed. Operations on the list may be done while more files are
still being added to it.

Installation is easy. The archive is in PK-ZIP format. Just
extract the files using PK-ZIP or a compatible dearchive utility.
Then simply run sfiles.exe from the command line (Win 95 or NT)
or from the Program Manager File menu / Run item.

The program is shareware. It may distributed freely under the
restriction that all distribution files must be included. The program
may not be charged for except for a reasonable cost of media. It
may be used for 1 month for free. After that time it must be registered
to continue using it, at a cost of $15.00 US. Registering SFiles will
give you use of all future versions of SFiles.

The program requires a registration code. When it is first started up,
you may select "Generate Registration Key for one month free" from the
Registration dialog then pick "Save Registration" which will generate a
registration code that will allow the program to be run for one month
and save it in the registry. The program will work for one month, then
will stop working until a new registration code is entered.

To get a permanent registration code for SFiles you will need to find
out your install code. To get the install code, start SFiles, and pick
"Registration...". It will be displayed on the screen. Send $15.00
and your install code to:

	Swanware Technology
	P.O. Box 237
	N. Chelmsford Ma 01863

Also, include your return address or email address so we can send your
registration code back to you. Remember to include your install code
since it's required to generate your registration code.

If you're ordering a new registration code, we'll be happy to send
a temporary registration code to keep you going while we wait for
the snail mail. Send email to request a temporary registration code.

For support, or a temporary registration code, you can email us at
swanware@tiac.net. If you need a temporary registration code, include
your install code (available from the Registration screen or the Support
Info screen. We would also be happy to help with problems or take
suggestions for enhancements to SFiles.

A web page is just starting out to help support SFiles as well. Take a look
at it and feel free to send suggestions about what would be useful on there.
