Turn off the Tip of the Day and re-start this program so you can see my beautiful intro "Splash Screen"!
If you turn off the Tip of the Day by unchecking the SHOW TIPS ON STARTUP box on the Tip dialog box, you can turn it back on by choosing the Tip of the Day item off the Help menu or by clicking the TIPS button.
You can add your own tips to the Tip of the Day system by editing TIPS.TXT. Each line = one tip for Tip of the Day.
If you edit the TIPS.TXT file to add your own Tip of the Day or to remove one of the existing Tips, the Tip of the Day system will restart. In other words, the next Tip shown will be the very first Tip on the list.
You can "cancel" my beautiful, intro "Splash Screen" by hitting a mouse button or a key on the keyboard.
Tips should be 15% of the total bill. Be generous!
The Toolbar in this program is dockable! Left click on the Toolbar, hold the left mouse button down and "drag" the Toolbar to any location you want (either free-floating with a title-bar or slap that bad-boy up against ANY side of the A.E.G. program's window).
If the "undocked" Toolbar's title bar is visible, double click on it to make the Toolbar return to it's previous docked position.
Right click anywhere on this program's window (the "white" part below the Toolbar and above the status bar) for a context sensitive popup menu. This menu contains the same items as the drop down menus and behave the same way.
You can also pop up the context sensitive menu by using the Keyboard Accelerator key SHIFT + F10
Each menu item has a "Keyboard Shortcut" -- the letter of the menu item that is UNDERLINED. To use a "Keyboard Shortcut", press and then release the <ALT> key first. Example (press and release each key once): <ALT> E 1 1 chooses the first episode from the Season 1 menu on the Episodes menu.
Have you hugged your shareware programmer today?
If you don't like the Toolbar, you can get rid of it by unchecking TOOLBAR on the VIEW menu or by clicking the TOOL button on the Toolbar.
If you don't like the Status Bar, you can get rid of it by unchecking STATUS BAR on the VIEW menu or by clicking the STAT button on the Toolbar.
Each button on the Toolbar represents one of the items on the Help and Exit menus.
The Status Bar at the bottom of this program's window gives you a brief description of what your mouse cursor is over (for both Toolbar buttons *AND* items on the drop down menus).
The three small status "windows" next to the clock tell you if your Caps Lock, Num Lock and Scroll Lock keys are on.
Note: This program creates an .INI file in your \Windows sub-directory in case you ever want to un-install the program (blasphemy!)
The little clock on the Status Bar lets you know how long you've been browsing through the Automated Episode Guide! Isn't it TIME you registered the program?
If you see an "F-Key" or "Ctrl-Key" listed on the far right of a menu item, that key is the "Keyboard Accelerator" for that given menu item. For example, F9 does the same thing as the Exit drop down menu item or the Exit button on the Toolbar.

The Automated EpGuide 'REMEMBERS' the last episode you viewed. Pushing the NEXT EPISODE Toolbar button after choosing an episode from the drop down menu will display the episode immediately after the one you just viewed!
Since the A.E.G. 'REMEMBERS' the last episode you viewed, to view Season Three, pick the first episode of that season from the drop down menu, then use the NEXT EPISODE button to scroll sequentially through Season Three!
You can hit the NEXT SEASON or PREVIOUS SEASON Toolbar buttons at any time. No matter WHICH episode you are viewing, the buttons will always jump to the FIRST EPISODE of the NEXT/PREVIOUS season.
The NEXT SEASON or PREVIOUS SEASON Toolbar buttons 'Wrap Around'. In other words, pushing the NEXT SEASON button after displaying ANY episode in the LAST AVAILABLE SEASON will jump you to the FIRST EPISODE of the FIRST SEASON.
To quickly scroll through a series of episodes sequentially, hold down the CONTROL Key, then alternate hitting the N key and <SPACE> bar (the <SPACE> bar clicks the OK button on the episode dialog)!
Do you realize how hard it is to come up with good "tips" for the Tip of the Day system?!?!?
This is the last Tip of the Day. The next Tip will be the first one on the list.
