A. What Is Express ToolBar ?
______________________________________________________________________________

Express ToolBar is a user-configurable button bar that gives you quick access to the Windows programs you use most often. Each button you create on the toolbar will launch one of your Windows programs with a "single" click of the mouse button.

A complete "Help" file is included within Express ToolBar that explains how to use the program, from creating and deleting buttons,
to positioning the toolbar on your screen.

B. About This Version:
______________________________________________________________________________

This shareware version of Express ToolBar allows you to create up to 14 program buttons that are displayed on your Windows screen. Each button will start one of your Windows programs with a "single" click of the mouse button without having to open group windows or display any menus.

With the exception of saving user changes, this version is fully
functional allowing you to create and use the toolbar during a
running session. The registered version of Express ToolBar will
save your toolbar changes plus provides you with "free" upgrades
and software support for 1 full year from date of purchase.

Please feel free to distribute this shareware version of Express
ToolBar to anyone you think might be inetrested.

Express ToolBar is configurable to be displayed at the top-center or bottom-center of your screen. You can even configure Express ToolBar to always stay-on-top of all your other windows programs for easy access.

Configuring Express ToolBar is easy using the Express ToolBar Utility.
All design functions for your Express ToolBar are accomplished here. Creating buttons is a snap. You can select "any" bitmap (.BMP) or icon (.ICO) file loaded on your computer for your buttons, or use the Utility's "Graphics" screen which provides 4 pages of pictures your can select from...

Some of the options available from the Utility screen are:

		- Create buttons
		- Arrange existing toolbar button
		- Delete buttons
		- Reset entire toolbar
		- Position toolbar at top or bottom screen
		- Change button picture
		- Create "Exit Windows" button automatically
		- Configure toolbar to "stay-on-top"

C. From The Author:
______________________________________________________________________________

I originally created this program for myself because I wanted easy and immediate access to those programs that I used often. That is why this version of Express ToolBar only allows you to create 14 buttons (14 was more than I needed). If I receive requests for additional buttons, the next version (provided free to registered users) will allow you to create more.

Once you have evaluated Express ToolBar and find that you like it, I hope that you will purchase a registered copy so that I can continue to create programs that make your computing faster and more user-friendly. It's not expensive....the registered version of Express ToolBar is only $10.00 US dollars.

Registered users will receive free upgrades and software support for one year after purchase. Because customer needs are of upmost importance, comments and suggestions are not only welcomed but encouraged.

F. Installing the Shareware version of Express ToolBar:
______________________________________________________________________________

1.	After downloading the "xtb10.zip" file, if not already done, unzip xtb10.zip to extract the main zip file (xtb.zip) and this readme file.

2.	Now, at the DOS prompt type the following command,

		pkunzip xtb.zip a:

	then press the ENTER key.

This will extract the files to a floppy disk creating an installation
disk for the Express ToolBar program.

NOTE: If you receive the message, "Bad command or filename", make
sure that the directory containing your PKUNZIP program
is in your "PATH" statement in the C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

3.	Once you have extracted the "xtb.zip" file to a floppy disk, execute the command, a:\setup1.exe using the "Run" command from the Windows Program Manager/Start Menu. This will start the installation program
	to install Express ToolBar.

4.	When installation is complete, either a Program Manager icon
(Windows 3.x), or a new Start-->Programs menuitem will be available
for running the Express ToolBar program.

NOTE:	The shareware version of Express ToolBar is a fully functional
program while running. However, when the shareware version is
exited, all user changes are reset. This is normal operation for the shareware version. The registered version of Express ToolBar will maintain all user changes from session to session. I hope you like Express ToolBar enough to become a registered user. Thanks......
