The AR-8000 Database
Requires Microsoft Access 2 or newer

Version 2

WARNING: This Access database is in a development state. It has been posted here for your examination and testing. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL in using it to download to your AR8000. I have not done much testing yet! Please play with it, examine the files, and let me know what you think. This is a FREEWARE project.

The basic premise of the program is that you will manage your frequency files and channel assignments in Access. Once you are happy with the information, you create a text file to upload to the AR-8000. You do have the ability to import data from the AR-8000, but you cannot import the current channel assignments, just frequency data. This would allow you to grab some frequencies that you have either manually entered or captured in the AR-8000 and permanently store them in the frequency file.

Through standard Access features, you could save and manage multiple channel assignment files (just save multiple copies of the Channels file). I could add more features for multiple files if demand warrants.

The predefined reports give you a compact channel assignment report and a rather lengthy frequency report.

Features Not Yet Implemented:

1. There is no direct I/O connection between this database and the AR8000. You must use a terminal program to communicate with the radio. All import and export files will be in the C:\TEMP directory.
