                         Invader 95 for Windows

This game brings me back to my days when I was growing up. Space
Invaders was a very popular game in the '60's. I remember going to the
arcade and popping quarters in (yes, games were cheap to play then).

The game starts with invaders slowing descending, and moving left/right
on your screen. They also fire at you. You start with three cannons and
fire back at them. There are bunkers where you can hide, but the
invaders' missiles gradually chip away at them. Use either the keyboard
(space, left and right arrows), or a keypad. I had better success with
the keypad. I had one problem with the keypad. If you have your screen
blanker on, and play the game with the keypad for more than the time of
the blanker, the screen will blank out. Moving the mouse will restore
this. The author is working on this problem.

There are several options to select in the game. One of them,
Invincible, is as its name implies. The only time you lose in this mode
is if the invader's land.

System Requirements

* MS Windows 95
* 256 color mode
* 800x600 or 1024x768 modes are recommended. (Works well in 640x480.)
* Game Pad -- not a must, but strongly recommended.
* Sound card -- not a must, but recommended.
