MANUAL

File acroman.wri is a brief manual describing the types of geometry ACRONEM version 2.0 is best suited for in generating a mesh. An overview of the geometric characteristics follows.
1) One reentrant edge (sometimes called a corner edge) per solid.
2) No reentrant corners.
3) ACRONEM operates best when external edges on the outer solid boundary are approximately equivalent length.
4) Unlimited number of surfaces describing the exterior of the solid.
5) Each surface can have between 3 to 8 edges.

FORMATTING

This shareware publication of ACRONEM has a standard formatting feature for both hexahedron and quadrilateral paved solid grid geometry. All meshes are fully connected and are highly orthogonal supporting many of the advanced commercial analysis packages now available. The standard ACRONEM output may be reformatted at the discretion of the user. TAG offers formatting as a service for ANSYS, MARC, and CDL (ALGOR) as part of a list of available formats. Any ACRONEM user may purchase an element format for use with their preferred analysis package. The first element format is $120.00 (US currency).
