                             Netalk 1.5
                           FREEWARE SOFTWARE
        --------------------------------------------------*/

Thanks for trying out Netalk 1.5. This handy little program
is kinda of like the unix command 'talk'.

It allows users to "talk" via the keyboard to each other.
In order to do so both users must be logged into a Novell
Network (3.11 or up) that supports IPX/SPX packeting.

To install Netalk 1.5 copy the executable file to the public
directory on your local network. (ie F:\PUBLIC)

To run Netalk 1.5 just type netalk.... (ie f:\netalk)
A list of Connection ID's and User Names will appear
Enter a Connection ID number (ie 5) and there you go...

In order for this program to work (meaning to get both sides
talking) both must be logged into the network and running Netalk 1.5

             ********************* CHANGES ************************

     1. NeTalk now uses Novell's 'send' command to notify the person
you would like to talk to. Known problems are if the person you
are trying to notify has castoff all enabled. Then no message can
be send. I will not change that due to fact most use 'castoff all'
(ie the company I work for) for pretty good reasons.

     2. NeTalk 1.5 and up are now using SPX packeting for certain things
        whew I'm moving up...

     3. Split Screen. To make easier to see who's typing!

     4. Smaller Executable thanks to some tight rountines and the drop
of certain novell-based libs I was using (decided to do it myself).
Oh, and let us not forget PKLite...

     5. Better 'Choose Connection' screen. Now handles the ability to see
over 20 connections. Can handle up to the license on Novell.

     6. Now you can Backspace!

     7. Most bugs (at least the ones I know about have been fixed).
Including the 'Return' bug. For anytime you hit return.

     8. Improved Doc. Yup, I decided to get serious and release something
that acutally be useful or at least informative.
(Thanks go to Keith at SimTel for this one)

       Common Questions
      ===================

Q: Can you send me the source code ?
A: No. If I wanted you to have the source code:
         1) I would have included it
         2) I would not have when through the trouble of getting a legal
             copyright.
If you need help with any novell questions/code examples I will
be more then happy to answer them and give you as much help as possible.

      [NOTE]
If you are planning on including this program on any CD Based distribution
please tell me in advance (so I can get it!). You could be really nice and
give me a discount or even for free( or just a chance to order it).
                Thanks in Advance
