Hi there! Thank you for downloading this transcription of Prelude and
  Fugue #3 from the Well-tempered Clavier, Book I by J.S.Bach (1685-1750).
As lomg as you have a sound card and some .MID player you should be able
  to hear them.
I have had an obsession with the works of Bach for many years, and
have struggled with trying to play them on the piano, the clavichord, and
even an electronic keyboard, but have never been able to make my fingers
play what is in my head, not being a professional pianist, merely an
amateur, playing for my own amusement. But now the increasing power
and sophistication of the Computer have made it possible for me to put
down exactly what I think Mr Bach would have wanted to hear, had this
wonderful "instrument" been around in his day.
Of course many Bach "experts" will not agree with my interpretation.
It's too fast, it's too slow, or some other objections. Bach gave very
little indication of Tempo in his manuscripts and it is up to the performer
to play it as he feels it.
My choice of instruments may not be everybody's either, but I tried to
use the instrument that best let me bring out the features of the music I
thought were important, e.g. in the Fugue the stacatto semiquavers.
I hope you enjoy the music as much as I do. I would love to hear from
anybody either with comments or suggestions. My main problem here in Belize
is that there are no music stores and I have to send to England or U.S. to
get sheet music. I would welcome any commissions if you like my work, drop
an E-Mail and lets get together.
                  Thanks for listening, Malcolm Dale.
