Release Notes:

4.0a
(Aug 96)
 Fixes:
  - You can now put filenames containing spaces into your ZIP file.
(This, of course, applies only to SVI432.EXE as SVI416.EXE is a
16 bit Windows application and supports only the DOS 8.3 file-
    names)
  - SVI416 would get CRC errors when decompressing > 6 files.
  - ProBld4, progress gauge would not display properly if your were
building a distribution of >100 files.

4.00 New version
(Jun 96)
Includes:
ProBld4.exe - Distribution builder (Requires Win95 or WinNT). Can
build for Win32 or Win16 installs.
SVI432.exe - 32 bit install engine for Win95 or WinNT
SVI416.exe - 16 bit install engine for Win 3.1x (or Win95 or WinNT)

-----------------------
Some New Features
-----------------------

New build program - The old VB build program talking to an Access
database is gone. The new build program is VC++ using a flat data
files. It is much smaller and much faster. Individual projects are
  now separate files.

New compression tool - The old Compress.exe is gone. SVInstal now
reads and writes PKZip (trademark of PKWare, Inc) compatible zip
files. Much faster and easier to use. I chose Greenleafs ArchiveLib,
  great product.

Version checking by date - Although Microsoft recommends storing
version information in the exe, I found the vast majority of my
customers just wanted date based version checking. This was a
problem with earlier versions of SVInstal because the installed
file took on the date installed. Now installed files retain their
  original created and modified dates.

Print - You can now get a detailed hard copy printout of your
  project information.

Known Bugs/Limitations:
-----------------------
 16/32 bit issues
	- ProBld4 does not check that file names are
8.3 style when you switch your build from SVI432
	  to SVI416.

 Windows NT issues
	- Selecting "Reboot" in SVI416 or SVI432 will restart
Win NT but not reboot it.
	- Browse button for selecting build-to directory calls the
folder selection dialog in Windows 95 but does not in
Windows NT. NT users will have to manually enter a
	  build-to directory, eg: C:\MYAPP\PROD
	- When running SVI416 under WinNT, the _stat function
returns garbage - this causes the overwrite prompt screen
to show the existing file's date as something other than
	  a date.

General issues
	- ICON files are not automatically loaded. If you specify
a .ICO file to be used you must add it to the list of
	  files to be distributed.
	- Filenames with spaces in them cannot be compressed. I have
a call in to the supplier of the compression library on
this one. SVI432 will install files with spaces in their
names if they are not compressed into the zip file.
