A personal letter from the author to all Users & Beta-Testers
 =============================================================

Any one using this program who will comment or give suggestions is
a beta tester! This program has so many different functions in it
that it is continually being up-graded into a better program.

People all over the world are asking for new and different functions,
European conversions, different languages, etc. It's hard to keep up
with all of the input. At this time this version is called 2.00A.

Upon registration you will be sent the latest version.

First I would like to thank you all for taking the time out of your
day to make this Mr. Machinist program a better program continually!

The comments you have, the bugs you find, the text you see that could
be displayed in a better mood, all these things that you find in this
program and then report to me will be taken to heart.

I try my best to take the users of this program very seriously when
they comment on methods or bugs. The comments and ideas that you
have are put into effect as soon as possible. The way you see the
program now is the result of many comments and suggestions that
users have had. This program is not just my own ideas ...it's your
ideas too.

My main objective is to create a program, with your help, that the
manufacturing community throughout the world will benefit from. A
program that can be utilized in just about any manufacturing
environment. A program that is fun to use and easy for the first
time computer user and for the pro. A program that speaks in plain
every day talk that a person can understand. The very reason that
I started the program was because I wanted a way to figure out Trig
problems with the touch of a few keys. The program branched out from
there into what you see now!

The Mr. Machinist program is the type of program that will never
really come to completion. There will always be new ideas, new
formulas, and new tools to make the job of manufacturing better.
Since these new ideas come so often, this program is up-graded
often.

What to test in this 2.00A:

1) The way text is displayed. (Spelling, grammer, mood, etc.)
2) The Help File. (Do you really get the help you need)
3) Functions, are they displaying the answers properly?
4) Is the printer working properly?
5) Do menus pop-up and go away when you want them to?
6) Are dialog boxes and input lines being displayed properly?
7) Do you see functions you think no one would ever really use?
8) What about a function that every one would use?
9) Are there any ugly default colors?

NOTES:

The manual may not document some of the newer functions that are in
the latest version. I tend to add things to the program and the help
file much more often than to the manual so use the help file often.

Always use the F1 Help key for functions that are included in the
program but not mentioned in the manual. There is help for every
available function.

The 'Colors' option only saves the colors you choose each session.
(Color options will soon be able to be saved to disk)

A Desk Top file is saved to your drive each time the program is
excecuted. This file is called 'MRM.DSK'. If this file does not
exist then you will be given an information box telling you just
that.

Thank you for taking the time to read this text file. The quickest
way to contact me is to call F1 Computing. The best way to get the
latest version is to call the Mr. Machinist BBS and download the
program.
