Major Upgrade for Windows Scheduler

Adelaide, SA (Australia) - TOPline Software has announced a major upgrade
to its innovative scheduler, SkedEzy. In going from version 1.22 to 1.5, a
large number of small improvements have been incorporated in addition to
several powerful new extensions. SkedEzy has a built a reputation for
exceptional ease of use, with its ability to decipher dates, times and
time periods entered as free form text. Either text messages or program
runs may be scheduled to appear once only, or on a recurring basis. New
facilities include early warning and reserved time periods for any event.
With tasteful touches of color, vector graphics and truetype fonts, the
output to both screen and printer is attractive. Both visually and
functionally, SkedEzy 1.5 is a great improvement on the somewhat plain
earlier versions.

As is sometimes the case with top quality shareware products, SkedEzy has
long featured an advanced concept that is only just beginning to be seen
in commercial products - natural language recognition. Although limited in
scope to dates, times and periods of time, this feature is about as
'idiot-proof' as it is possible to get. Users type in whatever comes to
mind, e.g. 'next Thurs' to specify a day, and 'four fifty in the
afternoon' for a time. Abbreviations, extra words, choice of punctuation,
order of words or numbers etc. are almost always handled correctly. Ease
of learning and usability are frequently mentioned in the comments of
users when registering the product with TOPline Software.

SkedEzy appeals to a wide range of users. Relatively few people use full
featured PIMs (personal information managers), but many people have a need
for something simple to keep track of mundane tasks around the home and
office. In the case of recurring tasks, SkedEzy really comes into its own
- scheduling recurring events by hand into a diary is a chore. For those
who spend much time each day running Windows (3.x or 95), SkedEzy excels
at prompting the user for such things as birthdays, anniversaries,
household chores and car maintenance. At work, meetings, updating a
timesheet and other recurring tasks may be scheduled.
