Newer introduces memory upgrades for new PowerBook 5300, 2300 and 190
computers

WICHITA, Kan.--09/13/95--Newer Technology, Inc., the leader in memory for
Macintosh and PowerBook computers, introduces a full line of memory
upgrades for the new PowerBook 5300, PowerBook 190 and PowerBook Duo 2300
computers.

Newer memory for the PowerBook 5300 is available in 4, 8, 12, 16, 32 and
48MB sizes and can be combined with the 8 or 16MB memory soldered on the
motherboard to make as much as 54MB of RAM possible.

For PowerBook 190 computers Newer offers memory in 4, 8, 12, 16 and 32MB
sizes, which can be combined with the 4MB or 8MB memory soldered on the
PowerBook 190 motherboard.

Newer provides "stackable" memory for the PowerBook Duo 2300, including
both the base memory modules and new upgradeable memory. Newer provides a
4MB upgradeable base module which accepts 4, 8 or 16MB memory upgrades. A
16MB base module is also available that will accept a 16 or 20 MB upgrade
to provide up to 36MB of additional RAM for the 2300. Newer is the only
memory maker to provide "stackable" memory, allowing Duo users to add more
memory without having to replace their investment in base modules.

With these new memory upgrades from Newer, PowerBook users can access the
necessary amounts of memory needed to run high-end application software,
or to run multiple software applications simultaneously.
These latest lines of memory from Newer are designed and manufactured
specifically for the new PowerBook 5300, 2300 and 190 computers. Newer
memory for the 5300 and 190 utilize TSOP memory. All Newer Technology
PowerBook memory, including the "stackable" modules, stays within Apple
form factor specifications for area and volume in order to properly fit in
the PowerBook's compact design.

Their innovative low power consumption design enables them to handle "real
world" heat issues. Each module is individually tested, which is just one
way Newer memory has earned the lowest failure rate in the industry.

Newer has a proven inventory of reliable memory that also includes 64-bit,
168-pin DIMMs; DIMM Tree, which lets Macintosh users transfer their
investment in SIMMs to the new Power Mac 9500, 8500, 7500 and 7200
computers by converting two 72-pin SIMMs into one DIMM; 8-bit, 32-bit,
72-pin SIMMS; and 8-bit, 32-pin SIMMs.

For 11 years Newer has provided Macintosh users with performance products
and memory upgrades designed and engineered with the highest
quality standards. All Newer memory comes with a lifetime warranty and
toll-free technical support. For additional information contact Newer
