MI Offers First 16-Bit Twinax Card

New card offers hardware alternative for Client Access/400 users.

FROSTBURG, MD--September 10, 1995--Micro-Integration Corp. (MI) (NASDAQ:
MINT) today announced the availability of the industry's first 16-bit
twinax card for connecting PCs to IBM midrange hosts. Noting the card's
speed, reliability, and easy installation, company officials said that
this is the first significant advancement in 5250 twinax hardware in a
decade.

"The 16-bit architecture is a performance breakthrough for IBM midrange
connectivity users who use twinax connections," stated Mark Proudfoot,
MI's VP of Marketing. "Not only is it fast, but it also solves the
incompatibility problems associated with 16-bit peripheral cards installed
in 486 or Pentium PCs. Since faster PCs and 16-bit peripheral hardware are
fast becoming the standard, twinax-based shops need this new technology to
take full advantage of what's out there."

The card is compatible with any IBM AS/400 or System/3X host and can be
installed by even a novice. The hardware configuration is handled
exclusively through software, eliminating the need to set switches.

The first product to feature this new hardware is CA/TWIN, an alternative
to IBM hardware for running Client Access/400 for Windows 3.1 (CAWIN). The
kit includes MI's virtual device driver (VxD) software, the 16-bit card,
and a "T" cable. MI's recently released VxD was the first third-party
twinax driver for running CAWIN.

"The CA/TWIN bundle makes it quick and easy for users to get up and running
with Client Access/400," commented Proudfoot. "And they don't have to
settle for IBM's 8-bit hardware to do it."

The company plans to release additional emulation products that make use of
this advanced 16-bit architecture in the near future.

Micro-Integration Corp. provides high-quality products, tools, and services
that support customers in downsizing applications from host-based systems
to client-server and PC-based systems.
