Motorola Computer Group To Resell CLARiiON RAID Storage Arrays; Expands
Program Targeting Open Systems Vendors

Westboro, Mass., September 11, 1995--The CLARiiON Business Unit of Data
General Corp., today announced that the Motorola Computer Group (MCG) will
resell CLARiiON RAID disk arrays. MCG will market CLARiiON storage systems
exclusively with its high-end server systems.

CLARiiON arrays provide up to 80 Gigabytes of fault-tolerant disk storage
capacity in a single deskside unit while also scaling to rackmount systems
containing over a Terabyte of storage, making CLARiiON the ideal storage
complement for large server systems.

The CLARiiON Business Unit is in the process of expanding the range of open
systems vendors that resell the award-winning CLARiiON family of
products.

CLARiiON storage arrays, a systems vendor can readily provide their

CLARiiON disk arrays can be configured to deliver the desired level of RAID
support necessary to meet application performance and data availability
requirements. To maximize storage capacity, up to four arrays can be
supported on a single host SCSI bus. CLARiiON arrays are also designed to
support the on-line repair of drives, storage control processors, power
supplies and fans. CLARiiON products are built to deliver mainframe-class
reliability and unsurpassed ease- of-use in open systems environments.
