EXPERTS SHOW PROJECTS, TIPS, ACTIVITIES FOR HOME COMPUTING

FOSTER CITY, CA (August 29, 1995) - ComputerMania, the nationwide series of
Try-It, Learn-It, Buy-It events, announced today the schedule for its
Interactive Learning Zones. The Learning Zones provide a unique schedule
of entertainment and education events through hands-on sessions at
ComputerMania tour stops at the Anaheim Convention Center (September
29-October 1, 1995) and Dallas Infomart (October 13-15, 1995).

The 25,000-plus attendees at each event will have plenty of opportunities
to attend the wide variety of sessions. Interactive Learning Zones will
ring the exhibits at each event, with 12 different stages offering a total
of 96 opportunities each day for attendees to get tips, ideas and
recommendations by editors and contributors, well-known authors, and
experts in all aspects of home computing.

ComputerMania Learning Zones include:

The Kids & Family FunHouse, sponsored by FamilyPC, will hold sessions that
show families how to plan a vacation online, identify family-tested Web
sites, and allow kids to do craft projects such as creating school
election flyers and banners, and customized stationery. Throughout the
event, parents and kids will be able to enjoy story sessions using the
newest multimedia story programs. Hands-on areas will allow parents and
kids to test the best software for families and share ideas online with
other FamilyPC kids.

Just Do It With Computer Life, will include a full schedule of how-to
sessions such as: a digital photography workshop; how to be your own
lawyer, how to find anything online, and a "try-before-you-buy review" of
hardware toys including golf games and virtual reality glasses. Attendees
will be able to try out Computer Life's "Best of Everything" products, and
take part in sports and strategy simulation challenges.

The Online Community Zone, sponsored by Ziff-Davis' Internet Life will
provide attendees with hands-on workshops on topics such as navigating the
Internet, creating a personal Web page, and investing online and will
feature guided tours to the best offerings on the Internet and all major
online services.

The Games Arena, sponsored by Computer Gaming World, will include game
tournaments that will pit attendees against world champions, hint sessions
such as how to design your own Doom level, and up close and personal chat
sessions with renowned game gurus.
