MEGA MAN X RETURNS IN HIS THIRD FANTASTIC ADVENTURE

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Sept. 1, 1995 -- Zero has been rebuilt, The X Hunters
have been captured, and Sigma has finally been destroyed once and for all.
Most people would be inclined to head off on a vacation after once again
risking their life saving mankind. Not Mega Man X. In Capcom
Entertainment's Mega Man X 3 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System,
the story picks up just a few months after the explosive conclusion of
Mega Man X 2. Instead of taking a breather, the "Blue Bomber" is right
back in the thick of things, leading the 1 7th Maverick Hunter Unit into
the fray once again. This November, gamers will once again have the
opportunity to help Mega Man X put an end to the evil robot Reploids.

"Mega Man X3 represents Capcom's commitment to the Super Nintendo," says
Greg Ballard, president of Capcom Entertainment. "We recognize that Mega
Man has millions of Super Nintendo fans who don't want to see him
disappear, and neither do we. The SNES is still an important game
platform, and will continue to be so for some time."

In the third installment of the Mega Man X saga, we find a Mega Man who is
saddened by the loss of his companions, and is unsure if he can continue
the fight against the Maverick Reploids. Encouraged by his friend Zero,
the high-powered red robot that Mega Man rescued, they confront a new
menace: Doppler, the super-intelligent Maverick. Mega Man X 3 also offers
for the first time, the option to play as either Mega Man or as Zero at
any point in the game.

Once a scientist robot working to build a world where humans and reploids
can live in peace, Doppler has suddenly built himself a new, powerful
body. He has also declared war on Mega Man X and Zero. On a secret island
fortress, Doppler has created eight new killer maverick reploids - Neon
Tiger, Blast Hornet, Volt Catfish, Gravity Beetle, Blizzard Buffalo,
Tunnel Rhino, Toxic Seahorse, Crush Crawfish - and the Nightmares Bit and
Byte, twin titans of tremendous tenacity. As if that wasn't bad enough,
Doppler has also revived the short-circuited Vile, Sigma's original
right-hand robot from the first Mega Man X adventure. Only X and Zero have
the power to stop this raging robotic horde as they battle across 12
stages (and a special hidden level) on their quest to stop Doppler's evil
machinations.

Assisting in his quest is Dr. Light, Mega Man X's creator, who is not about
to abandon his favorite robot. X can count on some heavy support from all
new power-up capsules for his armor. To protect him from the unusual
number of reploids, Dr. Light has also made available a hidden Super
Enhancement Part, which can be used to super-charge one of Mega Man's
armor pieces. Other armor upgrades include the Solar Power Charger, the
Shoulder Attack Field, the Over Drive Charge, and the Dash Booster. Mega
Man X 3 also harnesses the power of Capcom's unique C4 chip, which
provides the computing power to create awesome 3D scaling and rotating
effects.

Introduced last year, the Mega Man animated cartoon series quickly shot to
the top of the weekly syndicated animated series ratings. The cartoon
series will return this Fall with another 13 all new episodes, and will
introduce Mega Man X in the spectacular season finale.
