STREET FIGHTER ALPHA A RUNAWAY SUCCESS IN ARCADES

Capcom Entertainment Chooses To Stick With Title For Home Release

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- September 1, 1995 -- According to the August issue of
RePlay magazine, Capcom' s latest arcade smash hit, Street Fighter Alpha,
was listed as the number one coin-operated game in the United States.
Because of the overwhelming popularity of the title, Capcom has decided to
keep the name for the PlayStation and Saturn versions of the game, instead
of the previously announced title, Street Fighter Legends. Capcom plans to
release Street Fighter Alpha for both 32-bit systems in February, 1996.

"The response from the gamers has been astonishing," states Greg Ballard,
president of Capcom Entertainment. "We have been blown away by the amount
of interest that Street Fighter Alpha has generated. From the kids in the
arcades, to the writers at the magazines, to the users on the Internet,
it's obvious that Alpha's identity has been firmly established, so there
is no reason for us to change it."

In Street Fighter Alpha, Capcom has developed a cast of characters from the
collective Street Fighter Universe who have never before appeared together
in a single game. Street Fighter Alpha will resurrect classic, but not
forgotten favorites from the original Street Fighter arcade game of 1987,
including the hard headed English brawler, Birdie -- Sagat's all-time top
competitor -- and Adon, who specializes in Muy Thai fighting.

Street Fighter Alpha also brings back some formidable foes from Capcom' s
blockbuster game line, Final Fight -- such as Guy and Sodom -- who are
finally able to join the ultimate street battle for supremacy. Players
will also meet up with traditional favorites Ken, Ryu, Chun Li,

Bison, and even Akuma. Three brand new characters will step up to the
challenge, too. These include: Charlie, a friend of Guile' s, Rose, a
young girl who can tap the powers of her soul to face any competitor she
may encounter, and a new master of Karate, Dan.
