AVA Instrumentation Inc. is pleased to announce four new accessories for
PCMCIA users, to add hard disk storage to a Type I or II slot, provide
external power for PC Cards, convert Type I or II slots to Type III and a
desktop reader/writer with 2 slots.

1. Add hard disk storage to any Type I or Type II PCMCIA slot with the new
DiskDock converter, from Greystone Peripherals. The converter plugs into
any Type I or Type II slot, and includes a cable that connects to ANY 2
1/2 inch IDE hard drive on the market. Power for the hard drive comes from
the PCMCIA slot. Or, if power is at a premium, use the PalmTop Adapter
below, to provide power. The DiskDock Converter, part no. DD-95, sells for
$149.00 and will be available mid October, 1995.

2. Tired of draining the power from your palmtop/laptop batteries with
power-hungry PC Cards? The PalmTop adapter from Greystone Peripherals,
designed with the HP palmtops in mind, provides external DC power (+5
volts at 1 amp) for any PC Card, saving the battery power in the palmtop.
In addition, it can be used to convert older Type I or II slot to a Type
III +slot. The PalmTop adaptor, part no. PA-70, sells for $109.00, and
includes the 110VAC wall mount power adaptor. Available immediately.

3. To convert older Type I or Type II slots to support Type III+ devices,
the Type Adaptor from Greystone Peripherals simply plugs into any standard
Type I or II slot, allowing any Type III device to be inserted. In systems
where a Type III device would normally block the use of the second Type I
or II slot (in a stacked arrangement), the Type Adaptor is designed to
keep the second slot free. The Type Adaptor is compatible with all PCMCIA
Compliant Type I and II slots. Part no. TA-50, the price is $49.00 and is
available immediately.

4. Add a two slot PCMCIA Reader/Writer to your Desktop with the new
CardDock from Greystone Peripherals. It mounts in a standard 5 1/4 inch
half-height drive bay slot, and requires one 16 bit AT bus slot. The
CardDock supports memory, ATA and I/O cards that conform to PCMCIA
standards. The CardDock has two slots that allow simultaneous use of any
two PC cards up to 15mm thick.

PCMCIA Card Service and Socket Service software from AWARD, included with
the CardDock reader/writer, manages the auto-configuration of each PC card
as it is inserted or removed. The software can be used under DOS or
Windows, allowing desktop users to enjoy the plug-and-play benefits of
using PCMCIA cards interchangeably between their desktop and mobile PCs.
