Adobe Systems Unveils "Press Pass" Technical Support Program For Adobe
Prepress Products

Seattle, Wash., (August 29, 1995) (Nasdaq: ADBE) -- To address the special
needs of prepress service providers, Adobe Systems Incorporated today
introduced its Press Pass support kit to provide expert technical
assistance for the Adobe prepress product line.

By purchasing a Press Pass support kit, users of Adobe PressWise, Adobe
TrapWise, Adobe Color Central, Adobe OPEN, Adobe Virtual Network and Adobe
PrePrint Pro will receive unlimited, toll-free technical phone support for
a period of one year after receiving their Press Pass access code.
Experienced prepress technicians who have worked in the prepress industry
and have been involved in the quality control of Adobe prepress products
will respond to calls as they are received. At peak times, however,
callers may be prompted to leave a message for an immediate return call.

"We recognize that prepress service providers have special needs and
concerns unique to their industry that cannot wait for someone to call
back after the request has been logged in a queue," said Harold Burns,
prepress technical support manager. "Press Pass extends the professional
service and support that accompanies Adobe prepress products so that
providers can have unlimited access to knowledgeable resources for a low
annual fee."

Following the 90-day technical support period included with Adobe prepress
products and the 30-day technical support period included with purchased
upgrades, customers will be given the option to purchase the year-long
Press Pass support plan. A Press Pass calling card will be included in
every Adobe prepress product box or upgrade, but the access time will
expire at the end of the 90-day or 30- day grace period following the
card's activation. Each card will be activated and assigned an access code
when users place their first call requesting technical support.

In addition to extended usage time on the Press Pass calling card,
customers who purchase the Press Pass support kit will receive Adobe's
Support Central newsletter covering technical advise for Adobe prepress
products, access to Adobe's prepress on-line Bulletin Board System (BBS),
Adobe prepress promotional material, trial versions of Adobe prepress
software, and the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print Adobe Portable
Document Format (PDF) files from the Adobe BBS.

Pricing and Availability

The Adobe Press Pass Support Kit is expected to be available in the Fall,
1995 to Adobe prepress product customers in the United States and Canada
for $895 (U.S.). Press Pass technical support will be available from 7
a.m. - 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday. For more
