UniLink Announces Version 7 of Write Up*Plus

JACKSON HOLE, WY (June 20, 1995) UniLink introduces Version 7 of Write
Up*Plus, its professional client write-up program. Version 7 of Write
Up*Plus contains significant enhancements, most of which were generated by
user-feedback. These changes, combined with improvements made to the
underlying technology of the program, make Write Up*Plus even more
powerful and easy to use.

Of all the enhancements found in Version 7 of Write Up*Plus, the new Open
Period feature is particularly noteworthy. Open Periods makes it possible
to edit transactions and print reports for all periods. If granted access
by the System Administrator, users may change prior period journals, add
prior period journals, print prior period financial statements, and print
any report from a prior period in the current year. Changes will
automatically roll forward to other periods, and, if desired, Write
Up*Plus will automatically maintain an audit trail.

The advantages to using Open Periods are numerous. Working in different
periods allows the after-the-fact payroll to be current even though the
general ledger may be months behind. In addition, the Open Period feature
saves time by eliminating the need for end of period processing, YTD
journals, and formatting prior period statements.

Convenience and efficiency found in this new release goes beyond Open
Periods. Version 7 of Write Up*Plus has automatic journal entries for
inventory adjustments, percentage allocation to departments and income tax
accrual. Other enhancements to journal entry include copying a journal
from another client, posting all current period journals at once,
distributing prior year adjusting journals to all prior year periods, and
user-defined input order.

Setting up new clients in Write Up*Plus is fast and clean. Accountants who
have similar clients can set up default configurations and copy entire
master chart of accounts with a single keystroke. In addition, Write
Up*Plus allows for maintenance of separate partner percentages for each
month, printing of financial statements with multiple fonts and point
sizes, and numerous other enhancements to reports and financial
statements.

Later this summer, UniLink expects to release Version 7 of its payroll,
accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation/check
writing modules which link with Write Up*Plus. Version 7 of all the
modules share some common new features. All the modules have an on-screen
viewing tool called the "Browser." This feature allows the user to print
normal and condensed reports to screen and then to navigate through them
vertically and horizontally by using the arrow keys. In addition, UniLink
incorporated its own back up program, "UniBackup," which makes backing up
and compressing data faster and more reliable.

While Write Up*Plus integrates with UniLink's own general business
accounting modules, it can also import data from other popular accounting
programs through UniLink's Import Utility. Write Up*Plus is available in
both single-user and network versions. The retail cost ranges from $895 to
$2,395. All UniLink software includes a 90 day money back guarantee and
six months of free telephone support and system updates.
