TI Software Business Announces Participation in Microsoft Solution Provider
Program

PLANO, Texas, (July 5, 1995) -- Texas Instruments (TI) Software Business
announced today its participation in Microsoft Corporation's Solution
Provider Program as a partner member. TI's Arranger, available in 3Q95,
provides a way for mission-critical applications and data to be accessed
from Microsoft OLE-enabled applications. TI's newest version of the
Composer family of application development tools will become available in
4Q95 running on Windows NT. At this time, Composer support on Windows NT
will become a primary platform for TI, which means that all future
versions will become available on Microsoft NT at the initial release.

In May of 1994, TI Software Business and Microsoft announced a joint
relationship to design a specification for a next-generation open
repository to be delivered in the late 1996 time frame. TI's participation
in Microsoft's Solution Provider Program exemplifies the two companies
working together now with each others' current technologies.

We are very pleased to have TI Software Business in our Solution Provider
Program, said Steve Ballmer, Microsoft Executive Vice President, Sales and
Support. Their support of Composer on Windows NT, a proven development
family of tools for enterprise client/server, further emphasizes the
importance of Windows NT throughout the enterprise. Composer-generated
client/server applications fit very well with Microsoft's entire
BackOffice strategy. In addition, TI's Arranger will bring the power of
enterprise applications to the Microsoft desktop user.

Participating in Microsoft's Solution Provider Program exemplifies the
continuous expansion of the relationship between our two companies, said
Duncan McClain, TI Software director of business and marketing strategies.
We look forward to the many benefits the program has to offer and the
teaming opportunities it will generate in our respective target markets.

TI Software Business delivers information technology for business and
government. Arranger brings the power of enterprise applications to the
desktop user. Composer, a scaleable, flexible development environment
automates the generation of complete enterprise client/server
applications. Composer includes remote data access through full,
multi-tier distributed computing and supports a great number of hardware
platforms and operating environments. Targeted for large organizations,
Arranger and Composer, along with available TI services, provide
user/developer support for a broad range of applications, from desktop to
large, mission-critical systems.
