TCP/IP Expo Plenary Panel To Discuss the Future of TCP/IP Networking

Industry Experts To Assess State of the TCP/IP Market in Light of Emerging
Technologies, the Internet, Windows 95, and Other Issues

FT. WASHINGTON, PA -- July 12, 1995 -- A Plenary Panel of TCP/IP
Technologists will discuss the changing nature of TCP/IP technology at
TCP/IP Expo, to be held August 6-10 at the San Jose Convention Center in
San Jose, California. Leading engineers from TGV Software, Inc., NetManage
Inc., SPRY Inc., SunSoft Inc., and TGV Software, Inc. will discuss the
future of TCP/IP-based computer networking and the emergence of new TCP/IP
networking technologies, such as Windows '95 and Internet applications,
and IPv6 at a panel discussion to take place at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday,
August 10.

Scheduled participants in the Plenary Panel of TCP/IP Technologists include
Larry Backman, Vice President, Advanced Development, for FTP Software;
Doug Donzelli, Vice President of Engineering for NetManage; Tim Gelinas,
Vice President of Engineering for SPRY; Phil Rozenzweig, Director of
Engineering - PC Product, Network Products Business, for SunSoft, Inc.;
and L. Stuart Vance, Vice President of Engineering for TGV Software. The
Plenary will be moderated by Evan Birkhead, Editor-in-Chief of
INTERNETWORK Magazine.

"This will be the ideal forum to explore issues that are of primary
importance to network managers who rely extensively on TCP/IP technology,"
Birkhead said. "These technologists have been responsible for shaping the
TCP/IP standard and are now developing a new generation of TCP/IP
applications and resources that solve internetworking problems. What's
more, this panel includes vendors delivering products that address all
aspects of TCP/IP technology; file and print services, e-mail, Internet
access, network troubleshooting, etc. We expect the Plenary to be a very
lively discussion."

The format for the Plenary Panel will be highly interactive, giving the
audience an opportunity to direct technical and market-related questions
to the panelists. The audience will be allowed to pose questions, direct
feedback, and add their own commentary to the proceedings. And since
TCP/IP Expo is expected to attract a variety of networking professionals,
including network managers, MIS managers, system administrators, and other
experts from Fortune 1,000 companies, it should make for an informative
and interactive session.

"We determined that an interactive panel discussion would be the perfect
way to wrap up TCP/IP Expo," said Gary Millrood, Show Director of TCP/IP
Expo. "After examining the latest in TCP/IP applications on the exhibit
floor and learning more about the inner workings of TCP/IP at the
conference sessions, we expect attendees will be ready to ask the experts
some pointed questions about the future of TCP/IP technology."

TCP/IP Expo will be held August 8-10, with special TCP/IP Tutorial sessions
conducted by American Research Group August 6 and 7, immediately prior to
the exhibition and conference sessions. In addition to a full conference
schedule, TCP/IP Expo will include an exhibit hall featuring manufacturers
and service providers with the latest in TCP/IP-related hardware and
software, Internet access tools, on-line services, and related
technologies. The TCP/IP University Bookstore will also be available to
offer show attendees additional information resources.

TCP/IP Expo is administered by Cardinal Business Media, the publishers of
19 trade publications, including INTERNETWORK, the Manager's Magazine of
Standards and Interoperability, DEC Professional, HP Professional,
Midrange Systems, and other computer-related books and magazines. Cardinal
Business Media has its headquarters at 1300 Virginia Avenue, Suite 400,
