INFORONICS PUTS MICROSOFT PRESS CATALOG ON THE INTERNET

Littleton, MA -- July 5, 1995 -- Microsoft Press, publisher of high-quality
computer books, adds its complete line of titles to TitleNet, Inforonics'
Internet Catalog.

The Microsoft Press Internet catalog offers a complete list of publications
that includes information on new and forthcoming books, as well as the
full backlist. In addition, the Microsoft Press Internet catalog lists
special announcements and author appearances.

Title information includes descriptive text, audience level, reviews, table
of contents, and even an author biography. Titles include streamlined
tutorials for first-time computer users, as well as technical references
for professional programmers.

"Inforonics presented a relatively quick and easy way to build our online
presence, which is targeted at one of our most important markets--the
information industry," says Nikki Naiser, Direct Sales Manager at
Microsoft Press.

In order to build Microsoft's TitleNet catalog, Inforonics developed a
database system which allows Microsoft Press to take full advantage of
TitleNet's sophisticated search and retrieval capabilities.

Providing Internet users with extensive and easy-to-access information on
each Microsoft title was an important project requirement. With TitleNet,
Internet users can browse through titles by subject or search by any key
word in the title or within the descriptive text accompanying each title.

Technically accurate and always up-to-date, Microsoft Press books cover
software applications, operating systems, programming, general computing,
technical reference books, and games. The list presents titles by software
category for users of all levels. Series titles are grouped together for
ease of reference and title comparison.

Microsoft Press joins 36 TitleNet publishers and contributes significantly
to TitleNet's growing list of computer titles.

As a TitleNet subscriber, Microsoft Press subcontracts the delivery of its
Internet catalog to Inforonics, where it is supported by multiple Internet
connections for high server reliability. Inforonics provides network
administration and full systems maintenance.

TitleNet is a commercial area on the Internet created and maintained by
Inforonics for publishers to present product information and to promote
sales. Launched in 1993, TitleNet now has 37 participating publishers.
TitleNet encompasses books, journals, software packages, audio tapes,
microform, and electronic media.
