Galacticomm, Inc. takes top honors at Cyber.Xpo.95 trade show for online
industry

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. -- June 23, 1995 -- Galacticomm, Inc. was awarded
"Outstanding Software of the Year" and "Best Overall Marketing" at the
Cyber.Xpo.95 online industry trade show, sponsored by Sysop News...and
Cyberworld Report. Galacticomm, Inc. is the world's leading developer of
online interactive software. The company recently launched Worldgroup,
client/server software that organizations can use to create their own
online service.

"The judges felt Galacticomm deserved this recognition for its outstanding
contribution to the online industry," says Alan Bechtold, publisher of
Sysop News, the Topeka, KS.-based newspaper for online system operators.
"Galacticomm's client/server architecture elegantly provides a Windows,
multimedia-based interface for users, while still retaining the
performance of the DOS environment for the server machine."

Dennis Fowler, contributing editor for Computer Shopper; Graeme Gibson,
host of the Computers Today cable television show; Sam Thompson,
contributing editor for Sysop News; and Steve Graves of the Technical News
Service (TNS) syndicate were judges for the Outstanding Software Award.

Graves says Galacticomm received his marketing award for "being extremely
responsive to customer needs and leading the industry with its UNIX and
Worldgroup programs."

Worldgroup is Galacticomm's second generation of online software, following
its highly successful The Major BBS bulletin board software. Worldgroup's
client/server platform combines the best of e-mail/workgroup tools and the
commercial online services. The server side runs on a 486 or Pentium DOS
machine, and can efficiently handle well over 100 high-speed (V.34)
callers, along with up to 60 simultaneous TCP/IP sessions (telnet, FTP,
WWW). The freely distributable client runs on Windows and offers a
multimedia-based interface with animation, sound, and photographic images.
Worldgroup's features include: e-mail, group forums, file libraries,
multi-user teleconference, polls and questionnaires and more.

In recent months, Galacticomm has also received outstanding product awards
from LAN Times, Computers Today, and Keith Hilton, author of the
syndicated column Hilton: Higher Education.

Galacticomm is a privately held Fort Lauderdale corporation. The company
has been the leading developer of multi-user communications hardware and
software since 1985. Galacticomm's Network and Integration Services
division, along with a network of 150 independent software vendors, can
provide customized integration and advanced off-the-shelf enhancements.
