LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 Formats Bibliographic Footnotes and Citations

WILLOWDALE, ONTARIO--Balboa Software is shipping LIBRARY MASTER 3.0, a
bibliographic database manager that automatically formats bibliographies,
citations and bibliographic footnotes. Version 3.0 adds automatic footnote
and in-text citation formatting, customizable duplicate record detection,
global search and replace, advanced sorting, abbreviation tables,
importing from 100 sources and publishing bibliographies on the World Wide
Web.

LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 automatically formats the footnotes or in-text citations
in a book, thesis or article created with most word processors. Press a
key to paste a citation into a document using the Windows clipboard. The
program formats bibliographic footnotes, author-date citations or numbered
citations and creates a bibliography of works cited. Footnote formatting
automatically uses different styles for the first and succeeding
references to a work and uses "ibid." or "op. cit." if the style requires
it.

LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 creates annotated and subject bibliographies, periodical
literature indexes, catalogs, acquisitions lists, book spine labels and
more. Use dozens of standard bibliographic styles or design custom styles.
Version 3.0 adds support for numerous additional journal styles, including
American Antiquity, American Institute of Physics, IEEE, Marketing,
Science, Nature and Society of Biblical Literature.

Bibliography formatting handles the fine details required by style manuals:
Abbreviate or spell out the author role. Reformat page numbering. Add a
letter to the year (1995a) for citations with the same author and year.
Properly sort anonymous works. Sort by Library of Congress or Dewey
Decimal call numbers. Over 7000 journal abbreviations are provided and new
journal abbreviations can be defined.

LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 is compatible with most Windows and DOS word processors,
including WordPerfect, Ami Pro and Microsoft Word. It automatically
creates documents which can be published on the World Wide Web using the
Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

Global search and replace can modify a group of records. Abbreviations are
instantly converted into full entries during data entry. Type "JACS" and
"Journal of the American Chemical Society" is entered. Duplicate records
are automatically found, based on the contents of selected fields.
Editable macros simply repetitive tasks.

Import references from 100 online information services, CD-ROMs and library
catalogs. Version 3.0 adds importing from STN, EPIC, First Search, Paper
Chase and other online services. Import from bibliographic CD-ROMs from
most popular vendors, including DIALOG, ProOuest, Silver Platter, Wilson,
ABC-CLIO, and CD-PLUS.

LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 runs on any IBM PC-compatible computer. Manage
multiple-user databases on Novell Netware and other local- and wide-area
networks. The single-user version of LIBRARY MASTER 3.0 costs $249.95 U.S.
